Tips from the workshop
A little advice that saves a lot of money.
How's your tyre tread looking?
Check the tread-depth indicators between the grooves. As a quick guide:
- 3mm+ — good, keep an eye on it
- 2–3mm — plan to replace soon
- Under 1.6mm — unsafe and illegal, replace now
Slow to start on cold mornings?
That's usually a battery or alternator on its way out — and it rarely gives much warning. Pop in for a quick check before it leaves you stranded in a parking lot.
